I am Assistant Professor in the Environmental Economics Group at the Centre for Environmental Sciences at Hasselt University in Belgium. I am also affiliated with the Econometrics and Statistics Group at the University of Göttingen in Germany. My major research interests are: (1) meta-research: reporting biases and errors, replications, meta-analysis and evidence-based policy making and (2) climate research, environmental economics and energy economics.
Before I joined Hasselt University, I was stand-in Professor in Econometrics at the University of Göttingen. From 2016 to 2018, I was postdoctoral researcher in the Econometrics and Statistics Group at the University of Göttingen and from 2014 to 2016, I was head of the junior research group “Meta-Research in Economics” at the University of Kassel in Germany. I obtained my PhD from the Graduate College “The Economics of Innovative Change” which was a joint PhD programme of the Max-Planck-Institute of Economics and the University of Jena and financed by the German Science Foundation.
